The Sun and the SOL: Part 2

The Sun and the SOL: Part 2

In Part 1 of this series, I put forth a thesis that the Statue of Liberty [originally called Liberty Enlightening the World] was a kind of amalgam of various pagan deities, which can be discovered through astrological forensics.

Much of my career in astrology has been dedicated to deciphering the astrological inferences and ingredients, if you will, of various political monumental efforts, in the hopes of a better understanding of what lies beneath the surface.

The SOL holds a mighty place among our monuments, and deserves a serious inquiry. I don’t need to explain the basics of the statue – we all know what it is and where it is, and whether it is a symbol of reverence, or an insult to the millions of humans who were denied liberty in the USA.

When NYC was attacked on that dark day in 2001, the SOL took on an even greater meaning for us, in terms of perseverance; that’s part of why we have monuments – so we have something solid from our ancestors to help keep us stable. As long as Lady Liberty stands, so does liberty. Or, something like that.

That got me thinking many years ago about whether the temporal verity of the SOL was somehow part of the unfolding of history around it. And, like other quests, this has proved worthwhile beyond even my wildest imagination. The torch still continues to enlighten.

Dedication

The kernel of the idea for this statue came about in France, with some bourgeois folks meeting, and discussing the notion of some sort of gift to the USA, to whom some French idealized for infusing France with its own enlightened revolution. This gift would be presented at the centennial of the USA’s independence – 1876.

But, as such ideas are sometimes slow to materialize, the statue was finally dedicated ten years and almost four months after the target anniversary of the date on the statue: July IV MDCCLXXVI. After the events of 2001, in which the number “11” seemed to be unusually ubiquitous, I put this connection in the back of my mind:

1776 – 1886 = 110 years
WTC tower = 110 stories

A default “high noon” chart for the date of dedication (the dedication festivities went on all day, but we use noon charts as a default because it symbolizes the “day”) is as follows:

Figure 1

On the surface there isn’t too much to get excite about in this chart, other than a Moon/Mercury conjunction. Yet, there is a trine [a 120° aspect] between Mercury and Saturn:

Figure 1a

This trine reminded me of the famous Mercury/Saturn trine on 9/11, in which Mercury was exactly on the ascendant as Flight 11 smashed into the South Tower of the giant 11 World Trade Center:

Figure 2: Using 1° orbs, the only trines in this chart are Mercury/Saturn and N.Node/BML.

Much ink was spilled by astrologers right after 9/11 about this Mercury on the ascendant, as Mercury is the “winged messenger,” and a definite message was being sent by whatever mysterious and shadowy group pulled off the events of that day. In any event, what are the odds that a Mercury/Saturn trine of that precision would exist in two major charts for New York City? Slim odds, obviously. If we adjust the dedication chart to 8 am and place Mercury on the ascendant, we get this:

Figure 1c

And then a bi-wheel with Figure 1c and Figure 2 shows that the Flight 11 Part of Fortune (the symbol is the X inside the circle) is in aspect to the dedication’s Mercury/Saturn trine:

Figure 3

The Part of Fortune {simply known as fortuna] is a kind of harmonic that exists in a chart, and is calculated with the positions of the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. Given that 9/11 fortuna resonates with the SOL dedication Mercury, a certain resonance between these two events is undeniable.

Back to the Cornerstone

As I showed in Part 1 of this series, the Statue of Liberty does not face the east, as is commonly thought. It actually faces in a south-southeast direction, specifically at the azimuth of 147° – a 33° angle from the north-south meridian.

I then showed that the statue’s main astro-symbolic objects align with that azimuth at these times on the day of the cornerstone laying:

  • Sirius: 07:35:22 am
  • Venus: 08:46:28 am
  • Sun: 11:01:10 am

(These times are all Eastern Standard Time as there was no Daylight Saving Time in 1884. Eastern Standard Time was implemented in 1883, the year before the 1884 cornerstone ceremonial event.)

The time signatures between Venus aligning with SOL Cornerstone and Flight 11’s impact is interesting:

  • SOL cornerstone Venus: 08:46:28 am
  • Flight 11’s WTC impact: 08:46:26 am

Of course, the 2001 time is EDT, while the the 1884 time is EST. But, time stamps are time stamps, and could there be some kind of non-coincidental correlation? And, if so, can we scapegoat some group of Freemasons because they are always behind this or that conspiracy according to everyone who loves entertaining conspiracy theories?

Freemasonry as an institution is actually quite diverse, with many different versions, or brands, to choose from. The original USA freemasonic lodges can be traced back to the 1730s. Those lodges were spokes of the hub of the Grand Lodge of England that was formed in 1717.

But, some were not content with those English blokes, and alternative freemasonic lodges were formed by Scots-Irish folks who thought themselves more historically “pure” and were colloquially called “ancients,” as compared to the “moderns” that were beholden to the 1717 people.

That is how we ended up with the difference between “Free And Accepted Masons” and “Ancient Free And Accepted Masons,” and so on. As more and more Scots-Irish men immigrated to the Colonies and the USA, the Ancients became the dominant freemasonic club; the Ancients were far less pretentious as well, and through sheer numbers were able to out-freemason the Moderns. I have some astrological background on this from years back, here.

By 1813, the great freemasonic schism was put to an end when the Joint Lodge was created. But, there was still a truly USA-based group called the Scottish Rite. The Scottish Rite has no actual ties to the freemasons of Scotland; it began in the South in 1801, and has a headquarters in Washington DC, just north of the White House. Ground was broken for that “temple” in 1911, 110 years to the day after the first lodge was initiated in Charleston, South Carolina, on May 31, 1801.

Yes, another “110.” But let’s leave that rabbit hole for some other time. For now, we need to see if any more astro-timing coincidences exist with the SOL and the 911.

Venus = 147° Azimuth

The chart for Venus attaining 147° azimuth on the day the pedestal cornerstone was laid isn’t particularly interesting:

Figure 4

But, when we juxtapose it with the Figure 2, the Flight 11 chart, it gets very interesting:

Figure 5: Interchart conjunctions are Venus/Jupiter in the 12th degree of Cancer and Midheaven/Moon in the 28th degree of Gemini.

The interchart Venus/Jupiter conjunction is in aspect all day, but the 911 Moon on the VE = 147 azimuth chart’s midheaven is nothing short of astounding! This could just be another benign coincidence, though, right? To be sure, we need to look at the rest of the 147° azimuth charts. For the Sun attaining 147° Azimuth, we find the Moon on the meridian as well, but this time at the IC – the opposite point of the midheaven:

Figure 6

I don’t need to remind followers of this blog that this Moon position is on the degree position of the exaltation of Mars – 28° Capricorn.

The third and final star of the SOL triumvirate is Sirius, and the chart for it reaching 147 azimuth on that day gives us a spiffy Grand Trine with the Moon, Uranus, and Neptune:

Figure 7: Grand Trine; Moon and Uranus are only 10′ of arc from a partile aspect. Note also that the 11th house cusp in the Porphyry house system is conjunct Venus.

So, as Sherlock would say, “Holmes, the game is afoot!” In Part 3, I will go further into the SOL/911 timing correlations, because there are more! There’s always more. Haven’t you realized that by now?

Before I sign off, I want to share one final personal thing. I grew up in a very excellent family, with parents who loved me and encouraged me to be happy and learned. My father loved photography, and when we went on a vacation to New York in the summer of 1979, he took a ton of pictures. Dad passed away 18 years ago, but my step-dad (also a very excellent man) took the time to digitize dear old Dad’s entire collection of slides, and for that I am so very grateful. This picture was taken on Liberty Island, at the ferry dock. I can’t remember why, but for some reason he had me place my hand over the “f” in the word “ferry.” It probably was some kind of timebomb he left about the f in freemasonry, though, strangely, none of us were Freemasons. 😉
