Ahhh, the seven sacred foods of The Promised Land, as told in the Torah. Wheat is first, with barley – the two grains of civilization. Wheat as an agricultural product cannot be understated when it comes to dietary survival. A ready source of carbohydrates, wheat is versatile, traveled well, and kept armies fed.
The wheat sheaf was so important that it was given a star in the heavens: Spica, a Latin word that comes from the “spike” of wheat, harvested in the fall, after it matured while being consumed by the Sun, and then emerging as a morning star.

Well, more or less. The “virgin wheat” was the freshly cut whole grain, the flower, which was then processed as flour and baked into bread.
It is the so-called “body of Christ.” Jesus was “born of a virgin,” just as the bread comes from the processing of the wheat. Should it come as no surprise that Spica is prominent in the astrology of the State of Israel?

Before the constellational figure of “Virgo” as a female entered the heavenly lexicon, there were only smaller, simpler components. The graphic above shows wheat as the alpha star of Virgo – Spica. We now know the ancients referred to this as the “furrow,” with the star standing alone. In the figure’s right hand, she holds a frond, symbolic of the date tree. The “frond” was a separate constellation before the Hellenistic period, which included the star we now call Vindemiatrix, and other stars up toward the area we now call Coma Berenices.
The etymology of Vindemiatrix seems obvious, from vinic, having to do with vines, from which come grapes, and then (hopefully) wine. With the body of Christ, in the sacrament, comes the blood, from the vine that makes the wine. The Virgin is holding the body and blood of Christ.
I fact, we have much of the seven sacred foods coalesced into the constellation Virgo. It makes sense when we know the ancients timed her figure with the harvests – the “birth,” if you will.
To bolster that, the Savior was born at or near the location of Bethlehem (בֵּית לֶחֶם), means “house of bread”. The word “Bethlehem” combines “beth” (house) and “lehem” (bread).
These are things we eat, and we need to eat. This is the impetus for Virgo, and why she is so important, the “spirit” of life being provided by the food of the harvest.
Israel’s Virgo rising
It should come as no surprise that the astrological moment for the declaration of the State of Israel, in 1948, would place Spica [Spi] right on the eastern horizon. Using the Fagan zodiac with my array of major fixed stars, Spica is on the far left as the ascendant:

Cleaning up that outer ring, the planet/star conjunctions are clearer:

The list of planet/point and star conjunctions are here:
| Ascendant – 29°01′ Virgo | Spica – 29°06′ Virgo |
| Midheaven – 01°01′ Cancer | Procyon – 01°03′ Cancer |
| Mercury – 16°20′ Taurus | Aldebaran – 15°02′ Taurus |
| Mars – 04°17′ Leo | Regulus – 05°05′ Leo |
| Jupiter – 03°37′ Sagittarius | Galactic Center – 02°06′ Sagittarius |
| Neptune – 16°33′ Virgo | Porrima – 15°24′ Virgo |
| Uranus – 00°20′ Gemini | Alnitak – 29°56 Taurus |
| Black Moon – 28°24′ Capricorn | Sadalsuud – 28°39′ Capricorn |
The Holy Triangle on the inset is tangential to the ascendant, the Black Moon, and Uranus:

Israeli Law
The State of Israel has no Constitution per se, though legislative bodies have been slowly enacting Basic Laws that, taken together, are the law of the land. These can be listed as follows:
- Declaration of Independence (1948)
- Legislation of Constitutional Import
2.1 Law of Return (1950) (as amended)
2.2 World Zionist Organization — Jewish Agency (Status) Law (1952, amended 1971) - Basic Laws
3.1 The Knesset (1958)
3.2 Israel Lands (1960)
3.3 The President of the State (1964)
3.4 The Government (1968)
3.5 The State Economy (1975)
3.6 Israel Defense Forces (1976)
3.7 Jerusalem, Capital of Israel (1980)
3.8 The Judicature Law (1984)
3.9 The State Comptroller (1988)
3.10 Human Dignity and Freedom (1992)
3.11 Freedom of Occupation (1992-4)
3.12 Referendum (2014)
3.13 Israel – the Nation State of the Jewish People (2018)
We’re going to look at five of these which have to do with citizenship and boundaries:
a) Law of Return – July 5, 1950
b) World Zionist Organization — Jewish Agency (Status) Law – Nov 24, 1952
c) Israel Lands – July 25, 1960
d) Jerusalem, Capital of Israel – June 30, 1980
e) Israel – the Nation State of the Jewish People – July 19, 2018
I want to jump ahead to the World Zionist Organization-Jewish Agency (Status) Law as it was passed during the Saturn/Neptune occursion of 1952-3. Switching to the Fagan zodiac, the noon chart (which I am calling the Israel/WZO Covenant) is as follows:

With fixed stars added, we only have a few hits – the Saturn/Neptune conjunction very close to Spica, the Sun with Graffias (head of the Scorpion), and Moon with Fomalhaut, well past the Mars exaltation stars:

The Sky Map below shows the nearly perfect alignment of Saturn and Neptune with Spica:

Given that we are now at yet another Saturn/Neptune conjunction, can we glean anything about what might happen with Israel and the ongoing genocide?
A quick look at the periodicity of Saturn/Neptune conjunctions tells us that the current occursion is only the fourth since the first Zionist Congress in 1897.
In fact, we see that the 1917 occursion coincided with the Balfour Declaration being crafted, beginning in July, and finally becoming an official instrument on November 2.
I covered this a bit in Part III of The Third Rail, and postulated that November 2 was chosen because a Sun/Sirius tri-locational paran happens on that day:
- Sirius culminates @ London: 3:58:07 GMT
- Sirius rises @ DC: 3:58:09 GMT
- Sun rises @ Jerusalem: 3:55:42 GMT
The more interesting astrology, however, is with a chart for the Saturn/Neptune conjunction on August 1, cast for Jerusalem, and adjusted to Spica rising:

The gray-shaded areas are the Moon exactly opposite Sirius. The blue-shaded area shows Mercury and Black Moon with Regulus. Most important, however, is the Sun at Jupiter’s exaltation degree of 15° Cancer, next to Saturn/Neptune, bracketing the Praesepe and Asellus Australis. At the bottom, Uranus is at the exaltation of Mars with Sadalsuud and Deneb Algedi.
A bi-wheel with the State of Israel symbolic chart shows that Israel’s Moon is aligned snugly with the 1717 Saturn/Neptune conjunction, as well as other connections of interest:

| Saturn conjunct Neptune 1917 | Israel (symbolic) |
|---|---|
| SA-0-NE – 11°10′ Cancer | Moon – 10°31′ Cancer |
| Mercury – 4°02′ Leo | Mars – 4°17′ Leo |
| Uranus – 28°41′ Capricorn | Black Moon – 28°24′ Capricorn |
Could this 1917 conjunction of Saturn and Neptune be a major astrological basis for the creation moment of the Israeli state? In this scenario, the Holy Trine is completed with Uranus in the first degree of Gemini, in a trine to the 1917 Uranus. Is there some kind of Saturn/Uranus/Neptune obsession going on?
Back to the WZO
My radix for the WZO – which was originally simply called the Zionist Congress – places Venus on the midheaven and a Moon/Spica conjunction on the ascendant. A bi-wheel for the the WZO and the Israel/WZO Covenant shows the 1952 occursion on the WZO ascendant and Moon. The two occursions with Saturn are basically 33° apart in longitude:

The 1952 Saturn/Neptune occursion is even more closely aligned with the ascendant when we switch over to the tropical zodiac:

All of which tell us that the 1952 Status Law was most likely timed astrologically. After all, why not tap into the most powerful alignments for long-term prospects? Judaism has always been a Saturnian institution, with the Sabbath on that 7th day that we now ascribe to Saturn – Saturday.
What was always the god of agriculture and the harvest? Saturn. What was the most important crop? Wheat.
Wrapping up this little chapter, I was wondering why November 24 was chosen over other nearby dates for the Covenant. My guess is that a nice “Fist of God” combination happened on that day with the luminaries and Uranus:

This triangular arrangement has an ominous name, but it is basically a midpoint combination that can be expressed as:
UR = (SO-90-MO)
The Moon is waxing into a square, so make of that what you will, but to quote Munkasey’s Midpoints on page 61, this combination has these attributes:
Setting yourself aside from the ordinary or mundane; applying ingenuity to complete goals or create new ways of revealing old ideas; unusual twists of fate; the use of astrological ideas or methods.
In the next part, I’m going to sift through the four other Israeli Basic Laws to separate the wheat from the chaff:
a) Law of Return – July 5, 1950
c) Israel Lands – July 25, 1960
d) Jerusalem, Capital of Israel – June 30, 1980
e) Israel – the Nation State of the Jewish People – July 19, 2018
