G) The Exodus
The notion that the actual date of the Exodus can be known with certainty is magical thinking, in my opinion. But, that doesn’t mean some people don’t take it seriously. Jewish chronologers from 2300 years ago did set out to pin down a reasonable timeline to match the events of their history, but there were rival timelines due to, among other things, agreement on the proleptic calendar.
Regardless, I want to trudge through the material, because, as we say around here, the proof is in the cosmic pudding, so don’t lose your head!
