Thus far, this book has established that Mars’s exaltation was marked in the zodiac in ancient times by two fixed stars: Deneb Algedi in Capricorn, and Sadalsuud in Aquarius. Although these stars are in two different constellations, they are “conjunct” in ecliptic latitude, presenting a unique situation in the zodiac where two constellations overlap by many degrees, and are “ruled” by the same planet – Saturn.
This interesting, and oft overlooked area of the heavens, has other special properties that did not go unnoticed by the astrologers of long ago. To explore those properties, an examination of the Behenian Stars follows.
