On the Exaltation of Mars – Chapter 4.5 – The Magi and the Star of Bethlehem

On the Exaltation of Mars – Chapter 4.5 – The Magi and the Star of Bethlehem

In chapter 4.3 we learned that the year of Rosslyn’s dedication as a Collegiate Church of St. Matthew – 1450 – contains the fourth Mavortial Return of a SuperMars that occurred in the year 3 BC.

We also learned that 3 BC is the year some scholars have honed in on as containing the birth of none other than Jesus Christ. Central to the (not quite kosher) astro-scholarship are two very close conjunctions of Venus and Jupiter, back to back, in both 4 BC and 3 BC. From there, fixing a possible birth date was simply an academic task for my favorite amateur theologian Ernest L. Martin, author of The Star that Astonished the World.

Is this the whole enchilada? Hardly. There are deeper realities in our quest – realities that go to the very heart of forgotten wisdom — wisdom that was needed to sell the story of Jesus.
