On the Exaltation of Mars – Chapter 5.4 – The Ritual Astrology of the Georgia Guidestones

[Special thanks to Autumn at https://autumnallalong.com/ for letting me borrow some of her excellent photographs that were invaluable to this research. It was difficult to find quality pics of the monument but Autumn knew what she was doing and captured the scope of the monument.]

If there’s one thing we strive for here at Occursion Media, it’s the demystification of social and political relics through the lens of ritual astrology. What is ritual astrology? I could say that it’s “one of those things that when you see it, you know it,” but in all seriousness ritual astrology is a sub-rosa astrological practice done in broad daylight. It is the demonstration of s(for lack of a better term) magical astrological rite that is so well-honed that it passes over the heads of the masses (pun intended).

Nothing demonstrates ritual astrology quite like those now-demolished Georgia Guidestones – a kind of petit megalithic structure envisioned by a mystery man who called himself “R.C. Christian.” The monument was designed with a few astronomical features. From The Georgia Guidestones Guidebook:

The Georgia Guidestones® consist of four major stone blocks which contain 10 guides for living in eight languages; a center stone with cuttings for the winter and summer solstices; and North Star alignment; and a capstone in four archaic languages proclaiming ‘Let These Be Guidestones to an Age of Reason” and a hole for high noon to mark the day of the year on the south face of the center stone….

… The monument has been named The Georgia Guidestones®. It consists of four large upright blocks of granite, each measuring two meters wide and five meters high. They mark the extreme positions of the rising and setting of the sun in its cycle of 18.6 years. They surround a central stone which is oriented north and south. This stone contains ports aligned with the celestial pole and with the paths of the sun and moon as they cross the horizon. The central stone also marks the passing of the sun at noontime throughout the year.

The explainer at the site tells us that only three “astronomic” features are in the design, so perhaps the original ambitions of the project were scaled back for whatever reason. The three are simple – celestial pole, range of sunrise azimuth, and the sun at local high noon:

The monument has astronomical facets, but has anyone tested these? Has anyone looked at the astrology of the monument? Did anyone check these measurements, or bother to measure the entire monument footprint? I have no idea, but I can’t find anything online, and so one more time we have next to nothing in terms of actual astrological analysis, with the exception of my wonderful colleague Judith Cowell: Depopulation Foretold: the Georgia Guidestones.

On July 6, 2022, at 4:03 am local time, the controversial megalith of Elbert County, Georgia, was bombed by someone (we still don’t know who), bringing over 40 years of existence to an end, but not the mystery. The Guidestones ended up in this book on Mars’ exaltation because Saturn was at Mars’ exaltation at the time of the bombing. I will attempt to do the astro-math, but if you want to see it, you’ll have to become a paying subscriber.
