Does the Washington National Cathedral Encode the Horoscope of Jesus? “Gold Is Where You Find It”

I want to make one thing clear: I’m not a believer in anything. That includes Jesus. I’m pretty sure the whole deal with that guy was made up just to sell Roman gym memberships to Judeans. 😉

But, since the obsession with that most successful myth of all time is real, it deserves our attention as would any other anthropological study. For an atheist like me, that means proving that it’s all about everything it doesn’t claim to be. Humans are full of shit, and religion is where the full-of-shittiness reaches its crescendo.

And, let’s face it, when the lie is big, it needs big things to keep us from disbelief. Those big things are often cathedrals, because why would anyone build monstrosities like that if the truth was simply self-evident? The fact that the story requires a suspension of reason only adds to the obsessive mass inanity.

Encoding the Horoscope of Jesus – Why Do That?

Indeed, why? Why was it so special? The quick answer must be that there must have been some very special celestial phenomena going on for this entrance of the most important person ever in the history of the “world.” If we find that, we’re in business – we have the “Star That Astonished The World,” the Holy Grail, and all that. The real Christmas, not the fake one.

The point of my excursion into these religious realms has everything to do with demonstrating that the whole shebang is astrological at the core. Why would it be anything else? Until recently in human history, the greatest mystery of man had always been the sky and the things that happen in it. That mystery was obsessed over to the nth degree by cultures across all of humanity, so it should be no surprise that astrology holds the core of all organized supernatural belief systems.

And, here’s the rub – the chief priests know this. They don’t let on to us smallies, but they know it, and they keep it all well cloistered in the gestalt of the inner sanctum.

Yet, as I have shown in this blog, they do leave clues of their true beliefs in their works. It just takes a little bit of sleuthing to figure it out.

The Bethlehem Chapel in the WNC

Once the foundation stone was laid on September 29, 1907, the rest of the foundation could be placed, and on top of that, the chapel in the cathedral. In this case, it is called the Bethlehem Chapel, and it had its own cornerstone placed on the proscribed date and time – All Saints Day of 1910.

The foundation stone is not visible, as it is buried under the floor of the cathedral. Directly above it is the Bethlehem Chapel cornerstone, which is above ground and visible.

For this cornerstone, I settled on a sunrise chart – more specifically a “moonrise” chart – for the event, as on that day a waning crescent Moon did rise in conjunction with Mercury and Venus, and those three were contained between a Mars/Jupiter conjunction and the Sun.

That stellium with six planets is in opposition to Saturn, which is setting. In mundo square to all of this is the exaltation star of Jupiter – Asellus Australis – that Jupiter conjoined in both the foundation stone chart and the dedication chart:

Figure 1: the moonrise chart for the Bethlehem Chapel cornerstone. The outer ring shows all the exaltation stars, and Jupiter’s exaltation star, “Asa” for Asellus Australis, is culminating. Saturn is setting, which results in a “mundo square” of Moon/Venus/Mercury, Asellus Australis, and Saturn

Asellus Australis literally means the southern donkey, or “ass.” Yes, the “ass” is in asellus. There is also a northern ass, Asellus Borealis. That these two asses straddle the Praesepe (also known as the Beehive Cluster, and object M44), or the “manger,” is interesting, and surely no accident when it comes to the Gospel story of the birth in a manger among the animals. The star names came well before the gospels, though.

Also of note in this chart: a nearly perfect opposition of Uranus and Neptune. This opposition was the final of 11 that perfected from 1906 through 1910. Conjunctions of Uranus and Neptune take place in ~172 year intervals; the most recent was in 1993, and before that, 1821. The midpoint in time is 1907, but due to orbits being eccentric, the middle opposition ends up in 1908. Uranus opposite Neptune:

  • 1906 – Mar 01
  • 1906 – May 07
  • 1907 – Feb 01
  • 1907 – Jun 13
  • 1908 – Jan 12
  • 1908 – Jul 11
  • 1908 – Dec 23
  • 1909 – Aug 10
  • 1909 – Dec 02
  • 1910 – Sep 23
  • 1910 – Oct 28

Back to the other planets, the sky map below shows how bunched up the five planets of Moon, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, and Mars are, and how Saturn is setting on the other horizon almost simultaneously to the cluster rising.

Figure 2: At the left, five planets are seen in a cluster, having just risen, while at the right Saturn is setting. The meridian intersects Asellus Australis in constellation Cancer.

If we adjust the map above to a couple of minutes earlier, to the moment the Moon begins rising, the mundo square finds a the meridian passing directly through the Praesepe:

Figure 3: Moon rising at the same moment the Praesepe is culminating.

Closer views are as follows:

Figure 3a: Moon is very close to Venus as it rises; the other three planets line up above them, and the fixed star Spica is noted with the alpha symbol at the top.
Figure 3b: The Praesepe is being bisected by the meridian simultaneously with the Moon rising as shown in Figure 3a.

Matching up with the Jesus Horoscope

The mundo square listed above matches up nicely with my hypothetical Jesus birth chart. The bi-wheel is as such:

Figure 4: Planets along the horizontal axes in this bi-wheel align with remarkable precision.

It’s almost too perfect:

  • Jesus Moon conjunct Cornerstone Saturn
  • Jesus Moon opposite Cornerstone Moon, Venus, Mercury, Ascendant
  • Cornerstone Uranus/Neptune straddles the Jesus MC/IC axis

I would also point out that Regulus and the Pleiades are in a natural square, which makes Jesus’ Jupiter/Regulus the apex of a T-square.

The same chart in Figure 4 but without parallax correction for the Moon gives Cornerstone Venus an exact partile opposition to the Jesus Moon which was at its own exaltation conjunct the Pleiades:

Figure 4a: Interchart oppositions between Jesus’ Moon and the Cornerstone Moon/Mercury/Venus triple conjunction are more pronounced with geocentric Moon values.

J6

There was federal legislation that got funding for the WNC off the ground: the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation of the District of Columbia.

January 6 is Epiphany in the Christian West, and though not a holiday, it seems fitting for this kind of legislation. The astrology of the date keeps with the notion of horizontal oppositions as well. This sky map drawn for 11:45 am shows Jupiter and Saturn on the horizon:

Figure 5: January 6, 1893, 11:45 am, Washington DC. Jupiter rises at 11:44:12. Saturn sets at 11:46:17. I consider any “in-mundo” in a paran aspect to be relevant if the planets or stars attain “zero” and “180” values within four minutes of each other.

A standard astrology wheel shows the Sun square Jupiter, in keeping with the Sun/Jupiter theme of the cathedral. A Moon square Neptune aspect also is present:

Figure 6: A Sun/Jupiter square and a Moon/Neptune square dominate the chart.

Prominent quintile aspects are also present. These are more easily seen on the 72-dial, with Mercury and Saturn in the upper right in virtually perfect alignment, while the pointer shows Moon and Jupiter in a bi-quintile (144°). Sun and Neptune are within a 2° orb of a bi-quintile as well, which completes a circuit with Sun, Moon, Jupiter, and Neptune:

Figure 7

If we advance the time of the chart by 87 minutes, in order to perfect the Moon/Jupiter bi-quintile, we find the ascendant has joined the Mercury/Saturn quintile with a bi-quintile aspect:

Figure 8

Also of note are Venus and Mars in a semi-quintile (36°) aspect. All of these are highlighted in our table of differences:

Figure 9

Why would these quintile aspects be important? Exaltations! According to the exaltations, Moon and Jupiter are happy at a 72° quintile aspect, from 3° Taurus to 15° Cancer. Mercury and Saturn are also in a half-quintile aspect of 36° in the exaltation schemata:

Figure 10: Aspects between consecutive exaltation degrees.

The aspect from Venus to Moon in the schemata is also 36°:

Figure 11: The trapezoid shape in the exaltation schemata connecting the two 36° aspects.

The 36° aspect is encoded in the Rose Window of the WNC:
